Etiquette and availability: You must be genuinely and actively pursuing a flatmate and be honest and courteous towards our users and staff. Our staff will contact you from time to time to confirm your availability, if we don't receive a response your profile will be suspended, however you can reactivate it online or by sending us an email.
Service use: We take all care but no responsibility for the accuracy of profiles or the actions of our clients or other individuals. Access to this service may be denied if your profile is deemed inappropriate or if complaints are made about you. The maximum period of continuous or regular use of this service is 6 months.
Character references: Gay Share invites home seekers to provide two character references. This is optional and the references are not checked. We recommend requesting the references, which we'll pass onto you with their approval, so you can check them before finalising arrangements with your new flatmate.
Financial security: Never accept rent or bond payments from overseas people that you have not met in person. Do not accept cheques in the name of anyone other than the person who is moving in or from banks that you are unfamiliar to you.
